Become a fully accredited South African Game Reserve Ranger while working alongside some of Africa's most iconic wildlife!

Become a Certified Game Ranger and Experience the South African Wildlife firsthand! This 55 Day Ranger Course Training Academy is the perfect blend of professional excellence and exotic wildlife experiences.

Just 85 kilometers from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, the reserve has the two most important things to prospective rangers: FGASA Accreditation (One of the foremost authorities in wildlife reserve management) and the Big 5 (Lions, Leopards, Elephant, and Cape Buffalo).

Learn from Professional Game Rangers and stay on the reserve under the mentorship of an expert 15 years in his field.  The reserve staff designed the syllabus to be in FGASA regulations, which includes:

  • Mammals
  • Reptiles
  • Cloud formations
  • Animal behavior
  • Guest interaction
  • History
  • Fauna and flora

The course layout includes a mix of both lecture and practical experience - both excursions to witness the wildlife and volunteer type activities to help the reserve continue its great work.

Excursions will include activities such as:

  • Hiking
  • Whale watching
  • Bungee jumping
  • Water sport activities
  • Weekend excursions and much more

Upon completion of the course and passing of the assessments, students will receive FGASA Qualification and be Certified Game Rangers!
