Elephant Protection Volunteer Projects Thailand

Help the protection of abused elephants in Thailand. Take part in this amazing volunteering experience that will allow you to contribute and make a difference.

General Info

Elephants are under threat in Thailand, where they have been abused and mistreated for many years. Forced into street begging, entertaining crowds at circuses, and giving rides to tourists are all helping to reduce the elephant’s life expectancy by at least 50%. As well as being misused commercially, elephants have been subjected to torture training methods in order to “domesticate” them. Such methods include being chained in a cage where they are deprived of sleep, starved and beaten with sharp objects.
