This children's after-school project in Valencia has been set up to help school-age children who come from poor and disadvantaged backgrounds. It entails tutoring them in a community centre setting. These children have many difficulties in school and do not receive the full attention they need from their parents and relatives.

Volunteers on this programme will assist in the development of a play and learning area for children who are at risk of social exclusion, and also contribute in the creation of a support network for more marginal neighbourhoods.

Tasks include helping primary and high school students with their homework, playing games, teaching English and organising different cultural activities and well as being a mentor, friend and role model to the children.

Other highlights of the program for volunteers will be immersing themselves in the culture and community, as well as taking part in activities and workshops and outings.
