My friends and I went to Iran from 25 nov to 4 dec and we were humbled and awed by the majestic raw beauty of IRAN and most importantly, of her people. Despite the news around the world, we felt nothing short of safe and welcome throughout our whole 10 days there. We were very well taken care of by the one planning our trip, Pouyan, as well as our fantastic guide Lily who constantly helps us out in her wide knowledge of Iran’s ancient and modern history. Our experience was made much more comfortable thanks to Lily’s excellent translation skills and she even made the effort to help us source for our food cravings during our trip. She even helpt to plan a surprise birthday celebration for our friend who had his birthday during our trip! We felt like a welcome guest rather than a foreigner throughout our trip, thanks to lily and the warm hearted locals who always had a genuine smile and welcome to us. What surprised us the most was the unexpected but thoughtful gift Visit IRAN specially prepared for us in terms of developing a photo for each of us as a memento and some local delights, adding to a personalized touch to our visit as we met as strangers but departed as friends:) I highly recommend the world to visit Iran as it is truly a shining jewel that has yet to be uncovered.
