Cyclone Winston Disaster Relief, Fiji

Company : Tru Experience Travel
Activity: Humanitarian Projects
Country: Fiji
Duration: 2 weeks to 1 Year+
Approx Costs: 500 to 1000 £ Pound (UK)

On the 21st of February 2016, Fiji was devastated by the severe tropical Cyclone Winston. In the local villages around Levuka, not a single house was spared.

This is where our relief and rebuilding efforts project is based, sheltering those in need, providing aid and starting to reconstruct what was lost. Thousands were left homeless after this destructive cyclone hit the beautiful island, and you can come to join our efforts and really make a difference. A small group, in combination with local staff, have already begun distributing the necessities amongst those affected in their time of need. We are also collaborating with agencies on the ground to distribute relief and provide aid.

By joining this program, you will be able to make a difference for the local villagers, their families, and their livelihood by helping to rebuild the area as well as supporting the locals to have better living conditions. Whatever relevant experience you have will be greatly appreciated.
