Amazon-Andes Expedition

Go one step further than you thought possible! Combine trekking the Machu Pichu Trail, Aztecs in Peru with the Quichua Indians, exploring the Amazon in Ecuador.

General Info

This extreme adventure offers you the chance to see more of South America. We arrive in Quito, one of the world's highest capital cities. After your welcome and Safety briefing, We visit the Equator, experiencing the unusual events that happen there, then we are off!

We head down to the Amazon rainforest, where we undertake jungle training to prepare you for one of the most famous and unexplored areas of the world. With local Quichua guides and jungle trained Trekforce staff, we spend over a week in the interior. When we emerge, we celebrate with white water rafting plus some other adventures too!

Refreshed, we leave Ecuador and head via local buses to Lima, the coastal capital of Peru, before heading up into the Andes. In contrast with the Ecuadorian Amazon, this is a predominantly Aztec region. The famous Machu Pichu mountain temple is reached only after completing the trail up from Cuzco. A stunning trek, which complements the previous trek in the Amazon. By now you can take anything in your stride!

Extend South America with teaching placements from 1 to 12 months.

Teaching placements of 3 months or more are paid positions.
