Ecuador is small and big - small in size and big in bio-diversity. The Amazon and the Andes draw millions of visitors and so do the fascinating Galápagos islands which lie some 600 miles off the coast. Ecuador is a must-see country to explore. We have projects located in Quito, the vibrant capital city, and the fabulous Galápagos islands.

The city of Quito is very friendly with lots to do in the evenings, including an array of restaurants that cater for every taste in food.

Volunteer Projects Available in Quito:

  • Street Kids Project
  • Teach English to Underprivileged Children
  • Care for Severely Disabled and Sick Children in a Children's Hospital

You can also do your project on the Galapagos Islands instead if you prefer to. Please speak to us for details. There will be a small surcharge to cover transport from Quito to the Islands.

“I had so many experiences there that I could NEVER have gotten anywhere else. Ecuador is a beautiful country andIi met so many people from Ecuador and all over the world. A couple of my friends and I went to the Amazon rainforest for a weekend and it was an experience that I can NEVER forget! We went to a lake in the Amazon and we swam around and none of us have ever felt more free and in touch with the nature around us. At the Jamu Lodge we did not have electricity which was cool because we did everything by candle light and that was perfect for when the tour guide would tell us his jungle stories. That was an experience that I thank god everyday that I had the chance to have.”

RIO DE JANEIRO: 2 Weeks

Jammed between miles of coastline and mountains, Rio is one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Famous for carnival, samba and the soft white Copacabana beach, Rio pulses with life. The inhabitants of Rio pursue pleasure like no other people! Fully utilizing their impressive beaches with beautiful people, dancing, music, ice cold beers and the local firewater, cachaça!

The Statue of Christ is undoubtedly the most iconic of Rios many landmarks. The outstretched arms of Christ seem to embrace the entire city and on a clear day you’ll have 360º views of the city from the mountain, allowing you to appreciate Rio in all its glory; from the sprawling inner city areas to the forested mountains to the tropical blue sea littered with a hundred shades of tanned flesh. During the day, Rios cafés and beaches are the place to be, thriving as the sun shines. At night, the clubs, restaurants and dance halls dominate. This is a world designed for spontaneity, mingling and hedonism!

Swim, sunbathe and surf at the glorious beaches, hike through the lush Tijuca forest, play volleyball, futeball or soccer and visit the traditional São Cristóvão cultural market for some culinary and local treats!
