Itinerary

Day 1: Thessaloniki
Welcome to Thessaloniki.Your guide will provide you with all the information about Thessaloniki’s history, old and new, and give you the directions for all the attractions around town. .

Day 2: Thessaloniki, Kalambaka, Meteora, Delphi
After breakfast, we depart for Kalambaka, the gateway to Meteora, famous for its breath-taking scenery and ageless monasteries, almost suspended between the earth and sky. The town hosts one of the largest and steepest complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, literally named as “middle of the sky”. The World Heritage-listed site is out-of-this-world with its unique landscape of immense monolithic pillars and huge rounded boulders, and one of the most visited locations in Greece. Later in the afternoon, we hop on the bus for Delphi.

Day 3: Delphi, Athens
Starting off with a hearty breakfast, we go out to discover Delphi and all its wonders. Built high atop the cliffs with spectacular scenery, the town made its name in ancient Greek mythology. Chosen as the centre of the earth, ancient Greeks built the Sanctuary of Apollo in Delphi – where the famous Oracles of Delphi resided. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Delphi had a tremendous influence in the ancient world, uniting many city-states under the Hellenic spirit, displayed in rich monuments built by many various Greek city-states. 

Day 4: Athens
Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece; it is one of the world’s oldest cities with history spanning back over 3,400 years and is widely referred to as the cradle of Western Civilization and the birthplace of democracy. The cultural and historical heritage is still evident in the city today and represented by all of the ancient monuments and works of art. Our tour will take you to many of these sites, including the National Library, the Academy, The Constitution Square and Parliament, The Temple of Zeus, Parthenon and Acropolis to name a few. The night is yours free to explore more of this incredible city.

Day 5: Athens, Mykonos
We make an early start as we catch the ferry from Athens to Mykonos. In the afternoon, after meeting with your tour leader and other travellers, you will have an info meeting. Later, there will be a brief orientation walk, where you will be given some tips to explore the rest of the island on your own. It is no coincidence that this is the most cosmopolitan of all the Greek Islands and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.

Day 6: Mykonos
You have a free day in Mykonos. Mykonos Town (Chora) is the picturesque Greek island, with the fishing boats bobbing side by side with the luxury boats, the whitewashed streets, beaches, restaurants and bars; you will not be short of things to explore.

Day 7: Santorini
Departing from Mykonos with a ferry and heading for Santorini, an island formed by volcanic activity. It has been said that the sunsets here are the best in the world. From the Caldera, watch breath-taking views of the volcano & neighbouring islands. Being one of the major tourist attractions of Europe with its marvellous climate and perfect observation conditions, Santorini will offer you a wild beauty created from the volcano that lies in the middle of the bay.

Day 8: Santorini
Today you will have free time to explore the island.

Day 9: Ios
Early this morning we take the ferry again and start sailing to Ios, a famous tourist destination. Visitors come here for its golden beaches and the characteristic Aegean architecture. It is well known as the party island with the lively atmosphere and the endless fun. The capital is built at the point where the ancient city was, where white houses unfold and its windmills and narrow small roads can be seen on the hill tops. A great party night is waiting for us.

Day 10: Ios
A lazy day is waiting for us in Ios today. You have a free day.  

Day 11: Ios, Athens
Today we take the ferry and depart for Athens. We arrive to Athens around 23:15pm.

Day 12: Athens
Our trip will end here (11:00am) in Athens. We say goodbye to our new friends.
