Help put kids to work performing free home repairs for elderly homeowners. If you like construction, and helping kids learn and serve, this job is for you.

Worksite Liaisons are responsible for the preparation, outfitting, and care of the teenagers and adults who make up our work crews. They also build relational bridges among teenagers and vulnerable homeowners. These staff members must be able to use their own vehicles.

Job responsibilities include the following activities:

1. Organize tools and supplies for work crews
2. Obtain and deliver needed materials from our warehouse for worksites
3. Travel in your own vehicle to 4 worksites in the city of Pittsburgh each day
4. Troubleshoot construction work alongside student work crews
5. Serve as a liaison between work crews and vulnerable homeowners
6. Build friendships with vulnerable homeowners
7. Evaluate and report on the progress of work crews
8. Lead opening-day skills seminar (carpentry, drywall, painting, safety) to groups of 30-40 students and leaders
9. Share your personal testimony with the camp, if called upon
10. Take part in all scheduled events
11. Contribute to community life by serving where needed
12. Meet regularly for staff and community meetings
13. Meet periodically with the Director of Homeowner Services

Requirements

Candidates must have their own vehicles.

Benefits / Salary / Costs

Our summer staff members are paid a stipend which ranges from $1200 to $3000, depending on job duties. We train you for a full week or more, provide meals while programs are in session, and free housing if you need it. Possible internship credit, a taste of community life, vibrant worship, and scores of new friends are all at hand.
