The Backyard Tour Guide begins as one of the 12 winning ideas of the Berbudi Berganda Challenge organized by the Malaysian Agency of Innovation (AIM). It is a non-profit effort run by volunteers aiming to alleviate the problem of rural youth unemployment by offering youths a chance to become capable eco-tour guides. Our role is to approach, train and support them to explore the possibilities in the eco-tourism industry.

The Backyard Tour Guide aims to alleviate the problem of rural youth unemployment by approahing them, training them on how to host tourists and support them in publicity and logistic in order to gain income out of it. Thus, increase their standard of living.
