Springfest, translated from the German Fruhlingsfest,is often referred to as “little Oktoberfest”.
It’s take place in spring when the weather is nicer and there are far less tourists, making it a more authentic experience in many respects. But the deal is similar, beer halls, big steins, delicious Bavarian cuisine and crazy Stoke campsite parties. One beer festival a year isn’t enough for the Germans.
Springfest attracts 100s of thousands of beer-loving partiers – most of them from Munich and Germany, meaning that the crowd is more authentic and with less tourists than Oktoberfest. The crowds aren’t quite as big as they are for Oktoberfest, but that doesn’t mean that Springfest is any less fun. This means the waiting time for beers is drastically shorter, plus the locals will be very happy to party with you.
Also, as the party is in Spring we can expect warmer weather, which is why Springfest is more focused on outside, beer-garden style drinking. Sitting in the sun enjoying the world’s best beer with your new German friends? Das ist gut!

I stayed at their campsite for 2 nights, but I usually don’t camp so I was kinda surprised how much you get for that price. I mean we could drink as much as we want for only 10 euros...also food was better than expected, the staff was amazing, they were super friendly and helpful, they took good care of my friend who was way too drunk. However, the accommodation is basic, you stay in tents, they’re not new but it’s just somewhere to sleep and rest your head. All in all, I had a great time, I’ve met so many cool people, stoke offered fun activities, as long as you’re an open-minded and flexible person, you’re gonna have the time of your life!
