The “Academic School Year” is a 32-week language and culture course for students who wish to experience living and studying in Italy. Not only the course combines language courses with Italian culture classes, but it also offers a preparation for two Italian Language Diploma examinations (Diploma «Firenze» AIL exams).

The “Gap Year” is composed of a linguistic element (Intensive language course + exam preparation) and an academic element (Italian Civilisation and History, Art History, Business Italian, History of Italian Fashion and Design). At the end of the course, students have to write an essay on a topic of their choice, with the help of a personal tutor who will assist them for 10 lessons. The “Gap Year” is available in Florence, Rome and Milan.

The lessons are in Italian right from the start: our teaching focuses on communication, allowing you to learn Italian in a natural way, through a study programme that combines development of communication skills with in-depth study of the morphosynthatic structures of the language.
