We a small privately owned Chalet company in Les Gets, situated in the massive Portes du Soleil ski region in France. These positions are all based in our Chalets in Les Gets, France. We are constantly on the lookout for outstanding couples or individuals to join our company and offer the high standards that are expected by our clients.

Job Description: 

Your responsibilities will include all operational aspects of running a catered chalet and providing a high quality service. You must ensure that our high standards, procedures and company image are maintained at all times. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the chalet and providing all meals six days per week. Meals consist of breakfast, afternoon tea, children’s high teas and a three course dinner (taking into account any special requirements such as vegetarian meals and food allergies). Your role includes:

  • Help to set up and close down the chalet at the start and end of the season
  • Presenting all meals in a careful and imaginative way
  • Serving, clearing away and washing up after each meal service
  • Planning and shopping for food within set budgets
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the chalet on changeover day and throughout the week
  • Ensure that excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
  • Collect guests lift passes and take guests to lessons/ski hire shop on their first day
  • Organise laundry for collection / return
  • Socialising with guests before and after dinner service

 

Skills and Experience Required:

You need to be a well presented, fun and sociable person who is highly organised and adaptable with excellent communication, hospitality, cooking and customer service skills. You need to be 21yrs + as you may be required to drive our company vehicles. You should ideally have at least 4 weeks ski/snowboarding experience.  You will need to have experience cooking for groups.

Requirements:

All applicants must be able to legally work in France and therefore must be a member of an EU state or hold a valid working visa. Working a ski season is extremely hard work, especially when you start work early, ski all day, then finish work late. We have received very positive feedback from our staff over the last decade.
