General Info
Life is pretty laid back in Vietnam and the weather can be rather unpredictable, this means that your itinerary may be subject to change. Luckily our expert guides are used to local life and will ensure you see and experience the best of Vietnam. Check out an example of your average itinerary below...
Week 1
Start your Vietnam adventure in historic Hanoi; visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, get your tongue around the local lingo during a Vietnamese lesson, bargain for ingredients at local markets and learn to cook some of the delicious dishes you’ve been smelling! You’ll also hop aboard a boat cruising past Vietnam’s famous rice paddies and visit breathtaking pagodas and temples.
Week 2
The adventures continue – learn about Buddhism and meditation in Kenh Ga before visiting Non Nuoc pagoda and Tran temple, trek in spectacular Cuc Phuong National Park and explore areas of interest such as Kenh Ga River and cave and Hoa Lu – Vietnam’s capital back in the 10th Century.
Week 3
You’ve got two options for your third week in Vietnam...
Option A – Teaching: Test out your classroom skills and teach English either in a kindergarten or at a school for underprivileged children. The children are fun and keen to learn so bring bags of energy and ideas!
Option B – Trekking: Stap on your hiking boots and get the overnight train to Sapa, visit Cat Cat village and Black H’Mong hilltribes. Set off on an amazing 2-day trek including a village homestay.
Week 4
A well-deserved beach week! Jump aboard a boat headed for Cat Ba Island and soak up the spectacular sights of Ha Long Bay’s limestone karsts and isles. Swim, snorkel, kayak, trek and relax in this UNESCO World Heritage Site before heading back to Hanoi one last time.
