Week 1
Your introduction to the ancient wonders of China! In Beijing you’ll learn all about Chinese culture, customs and tradition as well as packing in visits to famous sites including Tiananmen Square, the stunning Summer Palace, the Confucios Temples and The Great Wall of China to name a few!
Week 2
Next it’s time for a kung fu lesson with the experts in a Shaolin temple before you move onto Xi’an, one of China’s oldest cities in the heart of Shaanxi province. After a tour of the Terracotta Warriors and a trip around the city you’ll volunteer in local orphanages and care centres.
Week 3
Don’t forget your camera as you kick off the week working at a Panda conservation project in the Qingling mountains. Here you will be able to lend a hand with the preservation of these amazing and endangered creatures before taking an overnight train to the port city of Chong Qing, where you’ll visit the historical ancient village of Ci Qi Kou and the impressive Liberation Monument.
Week 4
Start a 3 day cruise down the Yangtze River passing through the stunning scenery of the Little Three Gorges and stopping at Fengdu’s Ghost City, famously known as the resting place of the spirit of the dead! Scared anyone? End your journey touring the historical city of Shanghai visiting landmark buildings, such as Town God's Temple, the Bund and Shanghai Tower in the thriving financial and trading centre of Lujiazui.
