Rafter P Horse Training

Rafter P Horse Training

We offer a practical approach to better communication between horses and riders.

At Rafter P Ranch our goal with every horse is to cultivate confidence and trust between the horse and rider in a friendly, non-competitive and non-judgmental environment. Regardless of your preferred riding discipline and experience, the basics of timing, consideration for your horse and yourself, and consistency in your requests will allow you and your horse to excel together in partnership.

Situated in Geneva, Florida, Rafter P Ranch sits on 35 acres of beautiful Florida grassland, with easy access to trail rides in addition to the ranch's large, lighted arena, round pen and pastures - all of which provide excellent riding opportunities as well as picturesque scenery.

Lessons, clinics and training also take place at Everleaf Equestrian Center where there is a large covered arena and outdoor jumping arena.

Horses aren’t the only animals you will find on the Ranch. There are numerous family dogs as well as pigs, goats and cattle roaming the property. Some of our animals enjoy their own following on social media, so check out our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Rafter P Horse Training Reviews

Living the dream at Rafter P

I spent several weeks at Rafter P over 2016 and 2017 and cannot rate it highly enough. Chezz is not only a fantastic horse trainer and patient teacher, but also a really fun guy to be around. His enthusiasm for animals and animal welfare really shines through as does his desire to challenge you and share his considerable knowledge in a safe and calm space. I learnt so much about animal communication, but also, and very surprisingly, I learnt a lot about myself and how I present information and react to challenging situations.
I loved it so much I couldn't stop coming back and would recommend this experience to anyone looking to learn more about horse training and horsemanship in the US!
