Volunteers participate inhelping to create, in partnership with the community, a conservation model in plettenberg Bay to sustain marine and coastal resources through improved management, research and education.

General Info

Started in 2001, through many exciting projects. Projects include gathering of data related to measuring the health of the bay, rehabilitation f natural resource and education. Specifically, this includes fish tagging and fish counts on the reefs, diving on reefs to obtain population density, whale and dolphin population density, turtle rehabilitation, water sampling in estuary, alien tree removal, tree planting, outdoor classrooms with local school children, beach cleans and rock pooling.

Volunteers can leave with certification as competant marine guides or competant crew, an understanding of what it takes to preserve our fragile coastline, and the opportunity to improve the lives of children and the environment in which they live.
