Love Animal Sanctuary

General Info

The sanctuary is situated in Mae Rim district 19 km’s north of Chiang Mai.

It presently houses over ninety animals, all formerly unwanted or abused, domestic pets, farm animals and some wildlife. Twenty six cows, bulls and buffalos who escaped the slaughter house, also reside there. All the bulls have been sterilized. This is their home for life. Love Animal Sanctuary is situated on two separate properties in a small village, with a total of 17 rai.

Present Volunteer Programs available:

Program One: Buffalo Lodge Home Stay – animal welfare education center

Two persons: Couple or Best Friends only – double room/share basis.

Price two persons: US $1300 includes vegetarian/organic meals. Maximum stay 12 days; Includes 3 day introductory course in animal management, behavior and communication, pet therapy, massage and grooming. You get to work daily with different types of friendly animals; domestic, farm & wild.

Comfortable room with fan/ bathroom/laundry/cleaning service in rural Thai village, 19kms north of Chiang Mai. Centrally located. Easy road access with public transport to Mae Rim & Chiang Mai.

Pick up to and from airport included in package. Book early, presently only two spaces available at a time. Sorry no single packages available at this time.

PROGRAM TWO:

Monthly schedule: Volunteer Position Available for one person/ male or female – with computer skills or programming experience to work at Love Animal House office. Live-in position, provide own meals – home-cooked vegetarian meals available for US$15/day. Comfortable room with fan/shower/laundry facilities available.
