Working with children in underpriviledged communities in the city of Buenos Aires.
L.I.F.E. Argentina is a non-profit family run organization that works with children and youth living in socially marginalized and extremely impoverished areas of Argentina. We offer a number of programs and activities that strive to provide healthy development, happiness, and a hopeful future while improving the quality of L.I.F.E.
Whether we are providing an afternoon snack or new clothing and school supplies, we put forth every possible effort to improve the lives of the children with whom we work. We also provide important educational and recreational activities for the children we help. We work in collaboration with community centers and soup kitchens run in shanty towns located in socially excluded areas in the suburbs of Buenos Aires City. On a monthly basis, we also travel to the northern province of Misiones to assist to the indigenous village of Peruti conformed by a community of nearly 500 Guaraní people.
We are open to receive volunteers throughout the year
US $30 for less than 2 weeks, US $50 for more than two weeks, plus the cost of transportation to activities. We use this initial fee to pay for estimated costs of school supplies that volunteers will use with the children during their stay here.
