Our initial activities were mainly live street performances. As membership increased we realized that our principle aim of nurturing young talent could be better achieved by producing short and feature-length films, and by producing small-scale television shows to be aired on local tv networks which we have got Kenya Institute of mass and communication as our partiners to empowers the young youth and student based on making film in the film school. We are currently waiting to start out first project this year. .

Objectives

  • To promote the value of environmental conservation in Kenyan society.
  • To promote peace and reconciliation through re-enactment, theatrical and musical comedy and social satire.
  • To promote equality among Kibera residents by empowering young women to explore their talent.
  • To eliminate social stigma towards minority groups.

Current Projects

NAIROBI CHILDREN HOME MUSIC FESTIVAL

We endeavor to organize a music festival for children in the community Home’s, with an open invitation to aspiring artists, music and dance lovers that wish to bless the lives of young, impressionable children. We look to well-wishers and longtime supporters to provide funding for the undertaking Expenses of the project (Stage, props, décor, music instruments, transportation [for the children], hiring of a DJ, sound system, tenting, and refreshments. The event will be one day event that will be held on the 10th December.

In Kenya only three musicians have got the platforms to show case their talent and there are more talent hidden in the homes around the children. The children who grow under parental care and those who grow under communal care at the end of the day are left to the community and both face same serious challenges. The one who grew from a community home will have difficulties to handle some challenges because they are exposed to basic life skills from the parents. Though both children have same potential in life and can make it.

Most community homes focus on big career forgetting that the children also have their dreams and goals. Their vision is to have all children icon in the community but drilling their mind to become pilots, lawyers and doctors forgetting that music in Kenyan environment today is a tool and a career too when used properly.
