Help Build an Orphanage in Nepal!
Natural Building Creates a Wonderful Sense of Community!
Two week natural building workshop in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, just outside of Kathmandu, building with local materials, including waste bottles.
You will live on the site - farmland in a small valley - in comfortable tents, be fed tasty Nepali meals and offered weekend excursions and a few nights playing in Kathmandu.
You will work with skilled Nepali natural builders, Nepalis being trained to complete the orphanage, other
volunteers and the children who will live there!
Hard work and forming relationship, with the people and place, will be equally valued!
This workshop will be led by Bill Hutchins - principal of www.heliconworks.com - an American architect
who has recently led two similar events in the Kathmandu Valley.
If interested, please email Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org. The workshop cost is $1000, including all aspects outlined above (not including casual spending money, weekend excursions (beyond making arrangements) or nights in Kathmandu). You will be asked to send a deposit to Bill, for half, to hold your place.
BTW, the founder of the orphanage, Sudama Karki, is a tour guide and travel agent and can advise you regarding other travel you may want to do while in Nepal.
