WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT INFORMATION

At Speyside Trust Badaguish Centre we offer work experience that is stimulaing, interesting and fun. Our aim is to encourage participation in as wide a choice of practical work experience tasks as possible and to provide an enjoyable experience developing work place skills which will be useful on returning home.

We will make every efford to support people's positive abilities and ensure that the widest possible choice is available regardless of disability. We hope to offer these placements in a way that supports personal development on many levels. Badaguish itself is an integrated setting where we cater for the general public and many other youth and community groups.

The programme has been developed in discussion with local schools. Placements are available for small groups of 4-6 trainees. Together with 2-4 instructors, this allows for the possibility of a 1:1 ratio if necessary.

Each individual trainee is encouraged to take part in a variety of tasks and to develop their ability to make good choices based on their own first hand experience.

We welcome pre-visits from trainees, their parents/carers and teachers.
