Whether you are an experienced teacher or a student looking to further your skills, this project will provide you with the perfect opportunity to broaden your horizons and even provide you with the ideal platform to achieve a TEFL Qualification. Whatever your aim, the ability to live and work in a new and exciting country shows that you have determination, adaptability and maturity and will undoubtedly enhance your career prospects and employability with future employers.

By participating in the Teaching Programme, you'll be helping your students improve their level of English and bringing a fresh approach to teaching styles and lesson types.

Teaching is not just about transferring knowledge; it is about building confidence and trust and about forging friendships. Before long, you'll find that your students become like a family to you and you’ll enjoy attending local festivals or exploring Thailand’s spectacular countryside with them, or simply telling stories.

In return for your commitment helping to support these local schools, this placement is free of charge.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Your placement in Thailand starts with a two week training period in Singburi which includes teacher training and introductions to Thai culture. You will meet students and nearby schools, as well as observing lessons with both Thai and foreign teachers. You will then have the opportunity to practise teaching with your peers and in the local schools before beginning the placement itself.

Once you have completed and passed the course you will be issued with a teaching certificate and our local coordinators will help you to secure a teaching placement at a local school teaching 20–30 hours per week. You will be making and executing your own lesson plans, and this will give you the perfect opportunity to experience real Thailand, make a difference to the future generations, immerse yourself in Thai culture and make friends for life with your welcoming hosts and the wonderful children.
