Most families live close to major cities such as Amsterdam and Rotterdam. You’ll have a chance to connect with potential families before you leave the U.S. to ensure it’s a good match!

This is an opportunity to enjoy an authentic, immersive experience abroad with free time to take classes, travel, and meet new friends! Get started on your journey to the Netherlands!

Your responsibilities may include: engaging children with games and activities, taking them to and from school, light housework, preparing meals for the children, and helping them with their homework.

What You’ll Get: 

• Placement with a screened host family before you leave the U.S.
• Monthly stipend, private room, and meals
• Pre-departure, in-country, and alumni resources
• A stipend of €320 for optional Dutch language classes
• Paid vacation 

Requirements:

• U.S. citizen between 18 and 30
• At least 200 hours of child care experience
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma
• Processing fee of USD $35
