Teaching and Temples Tour of Cambodia

Explore one of Asia’s lesser-travelled treasures, from the colonial architecture of Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, gateway to the legendary Angkor Wat. Get your fill of stunning sights and help out with volunteering.

General Info

Day 1 - 2

After arrival in Cambodia you’ll have some time to get settled in before you visit the most beautiful and interesting spots Phnom Penh. Take in the Royal Palace, Wat Phnom and get to grips with Cambodian history on a visit to the Toul Sleng Museum.

Day 3 – 8

Get stuck in at your volunteering project, helping to teach disadvantaged children in Phnom Penh. You’ll be working from 9am until 5pm and will be able to get involved in teaching English to the children as creatively as you can; flashcards, games and songs are a good way to start! You’ll also lend a hand with the general care of the children too, from cooking and cleaning for them to keeping them entertained.

Day 9 – 12

Onward again to Siem Reap where you will continue to feast your eyes on stunning temples, starting with the beautiful ancient temples of Angkor including; Angkor Thom, The South Gate, Bayon, The Elephant Terrace, The Terrace of Leper King, Ta Prom and Angkor Wat, Bantey Srey temple and Kbal Spean, as well as several jungle temples, all capped off with a climb up Phnom Bakeng Mountain.
Finish your stay in Siem Reap with a trip to Lolei temple and the Roluos group, amazing examples of the Khmer period, and a wander around the floating village!

Day 13 – 14

Visit the Sangkheum Centre for Children where you can help the little ones with their English lessons or handicraft lessons, and drop in at the Artisan Angkor centre, a fantastic place to see traditional craftwork and to support local trade before you set off home!
