Learn Spanish and work with the poor communities in Buenos Aires

Get to grips with Spanish in the heart of Latin America and use your new skills to help impoverished local communities. You can provide some much-needed care as well as gaining an insider’s view of local life.

General Info

This project aims to help communities on the outskirts of Buenos Aires who lack basic amenities such as education, child care facilities and food. As a volunteer you will play a significant role in giving the communities stability, care and generally improving their standard of life.

You will spend your first two weeks learning Spanish with expert tutors. Your lessons will be in the mornings for 4 hours with afternoons free to explore and practice or get involved with one of the many optional activities that the school arranges.

Once you’ve polished your language skills it’s time to start your project where you will work Monday to Friday for around 15 hours a week though an extra time you want to give will be welcomed!
You will be involved in a variety of activities including: giving the residents daily assistance, receiving and organising shipments of food, clothing and supplies, assisting in workshops on health and safety, organising games and activities for the children and looking after children in the local day care centre.
