Community work with young children in Moshi, Tanzania

General Info

You will be able to choose from several nurseries and kindergartens in Moshi, where you can work with young children from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them to get a better grip on basic skills such as such as the alphabet, maths and simple vocabulary.

Working at the project from Monday to Friday, you make an important contribution to preparing these youngsters for primary school and providing extra care where it’s needed. Fun is the name of the game so it will be up to you to make your lessons as interactive and enjoyable as possible with songs and games.

You will also have the opportunity to work within the wider community in the afternoons, teaching adult Masai or working with women’s groups, helping with conservation projects, getting involved with extra homework sessions or trying your hand at sports coaching.
