Community work with orphans and underpriviledged children in Lima, Peru

General Info

You will have the choice of working at a number of care centres for underprivileged youths, help out at; a home for abandoned and orphaned girls, a home for teenage street girls, a home for boys at psychological risk or a day care centre for babies between 6 months and 5 years old.

You will help out at your chosen project for around 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday. With so many children in need there are a vast range of activities to help with; most are based around confidence building and learning, as well as providing basic care and shelter.

You can get creative teaching English, improving reading and writing skills, leading craft workshops or try your hand at sports coaching with the older children and give lots of love, care and attention to the young ones!
