Helping Hills Sri Lanka program offers volunteer placements under following projects but not limited to:
- Teaching Opportunities for local school kids / differently able students / adults
- Vocational training opportunities for differently able students
- Nursery care activities
- Elderly care activities
- Health Center activities
- Community engage activities
- ECO tourism activities......etc
Volunteers will have an opportunity to experience a best project while covering all the areas during their stay with the project.
The participants should have good communication skills / organizing skills and sensitive to cross cultural situation.
There is no specific academic qualification/ experience required , but the participants should be within the age group of 18-65 with good health conditions.
Any one with a BIG heart and sense of adventure is encouraged to apply for the opportunity. At the end of the assignment a certificate will be issued for the participants.
Your investment for the programs is as follows:
- A volunteer fee of 200 US $ per week
- Participants have to bear the cost for air fare / VISAS (Please contact Harsha, prior to apply for VISAS)
- A travel Insurance certificate is required.
- Transport within Sri Lanka will be provided by the project
- Accommodation will be provided inside a beautiful tea plantation with Sri Lankan rice and curry
