Trip Specifics

Health & safety is a priority and we are compliant with British Standards 8848.

As a participant on this program you will do morning and night surveys where you will collect data on the nesting activity. A big part of your responsibility as a volunteer is to work on initiatives to protect nests and hatchlings from potential predators. With guidance from your program manager you will also offer information sessions to local tourists on the importance of conservation in the area.

Over weekends you will head out for sight seeing activities which are facilitated by our local field team.

This program includes an optional Leadership online course which must be completed in order to obtain a certificate offered in partnership with the University of Richmond in the United States.

Since we opened our doors in 1998, we have spent over 65% of all funds directly on our projects.  It is our mission to support field operations in the long term.  Rather than abandon programs that recruit fewer volunteers we strategically invest from our fully staffed sites to help maintain our presence across the globe. The remaining 35% that is not directly invested in our programs covers the cost of volunteer recruitment, the operations of our head office.
