Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local and operational conditions may vary and unforeseen circumstances can arise, the following itinerary should be used as a guideline.
Day 1-3: San Francisco & Yosemite National Park
After a morning visit to the spectacular Golden Gate Bridge and a brief tour of San Francisco, we head east through California's historic gold country on day one. The scenic Yosemite National Park region is 'home' for the next three nights. After a visit to the Giant Sequoias, Yosemite Valley beckons. You may bicycle, take a dip in the Merced River or wander the meadows. Everyone will enjoy hiking one of the many trails that allow you to leave the crowds behind. The famous sites situated along these trails include Yosemite Falls, Nevada Falls, Vernal Falls, Mirror Lake and Half Dome. The views are breathtaking from every vantage point - the granite formations of Half Dome, El Capitan and Cathedral Rocks will be etched forever in your mind.

Day 4-6: Great Basin Desert & Zion National Park
From Yosemite's towering sequoias we continue through the Sierra Nevada to our campground located in the high desert. Next, savour two days in Zion National Park to hike to Emerald Pools, ford the Narrows, climb to Angel's Landing or mountain bike to the remains of a nearby ghost town.

Day 7-8: Bryce Canyon & Lake Powell
Bryce Canyon National Park follows with its unique turrets and spires, and a chance to explore the area with a hike on the Queen's Garden, Navajo Loop or Peekaboo Loop trails, and then a short drive to a lovely campsite at Kodachrome Basin State Park. From here we continue to Lake Powell to enjoy a day of relaxation in the sun or explore the area on foot.

Day 9: Monument Valley
The next camp is on the Navajo Tribal Lands of Monument Valley, a photographer's paradise. Discover some of the area's hidden secrets on an included backroads tour with a Navajo guide. There is also ample time to relax, browse the local crafts and view the valley's stunning sunset.

Day 10-11: Grand Canyon National Park
The awesome Grand Canyon is a stop to remember that offers many different opportunities. Take a scenic flight or a ranger guided nature walk along the rim, experience the wonder of IMAX or, for the really active, a hike into the canyon leads to a better appreciation of its scale and grandeur.

Day 12-13: Las Vegas & Los Angeles
Leaving nature behind, head into Las Vegas with all its glitz and glamour. Here you'll have time for some last minute bargain shopping or to relax by the pool before a big night of bright lights, casinos and world class shows. On our final day we drive across the great Mojave Desert and arrive at our L.A. hotel where we say our fond farewells.
