Tanzania, home of safaris and Mount Kilimanjaro is a country that offers perhaps the greatest diversity of things to do outside your Hospital experience. It may perhaps be a destination that you are unfamiliar with but the East African country is a heavyweight when it comes to entertainment. Jungle trekking, weekend safaris, visits to the formidable Kilimanjaro, ancient cave paintings, tribal villages and a lazy weekend spent on the beach in Zanzibar, its hard to think of what Tanzania hasn’t got.

The Hospital placement in Iringa is one which constantly gets rave reviews from our students. You will see some traditional East African medicine aswell as more modern western medicine practiced here, it can be a challenging environment and Its certainly a Hospital experience that will give you strong comparisons to make with the medical facilities back home.

Students all live together in our Gap Medics house with full time staff teams within the country including programme manager, student mentors, cater, housekeeper and 24 hour security.
