A fantastic opportunity to be able to assist a variety of projects from one location, giving you the flexibility to to help in a number of areas ensuring that no matter what your interest there is something for you to assist with, that you will enjoy.

The school is very industrious and has a small farm area with 6 cows and vegetable plots plus grows a lot of maize. At present they are trialling a new plant called Amaranth which has been proved to help people suffering with HIV.

They are very keen to improve their knowledge of horticulture and farming and are desperate for some help with crop rotations, pest control, seed beds etc. The school would like to put together a training program that would include the local farmers in the area so improving the production of crops throughout the village.

Most families survive off their small shamba (farm) often through lack of time and little knowledge it produces just enough to survive on. Any help the community and school received would not only boost their knowledge but help them to grow more food an enable them to sell it at market to raise much needed funds.
