Trans Mongolian Adventure

Ride the legendary Trans-Siberian and Trans-Mongolian train from Russia to China.

On this small group adventure trip you will travel overland seeing ancient cities, beautiful scenery and remote beauty spots. From seeing the old backstreets of Beijing, remote wilderness in Mongolia and modern cities in Russia - this trip will leave you will lasting memories. Itinerary

Day 1 St Petersburg, Russia
This trip starts in beautiful St Petersburg where you will get to meet your tour group and trip leader.

Day 2 St Petersburg
A free day to explore, there are lots of places to visit and get pictures of, you could join a boat trip or seek out culture visiting cathedrals.

Day 3-4 Moscow
After an overnight sleeper train you will have a day to wander around the Russian capital, a visit to the Kremlin and Lenin's Mausoleum is highly recommended.

Day 5-7 Rural Russia
Experience 3 days seeing some spectacular scenery in the Ural Mountains and Siberian taiga. This is a good chance to get to know the others on your trip or mix with local people.

Day 8 Listvyanka + Lake Baikal
Travel to Lake Baikal and stay with a local family for an authentic Russian experience, if the weather is good you might like to go for a swim or boat excursion.

Day 9-10 Trans-Mongolian Railway
Cross into Mongolia and catch the legendary train to Ulaanbaatar, see dramatic scenery and landscapes.

Day 11-13 Ulaanbaatar
Visit the captial on Mongolia and spend a stay one night in a traditional camp.

Day 14 - Trans-Mongolian Railway
Ride the train from Inner Mongolia, across the border into China before arriving in the Chinese capital Beijing.

Day 15-16 Beijing
Experience the busy and facsinating capital, you might like to visit the breathtaking Forbidden City, get pictures in Tiananmen Square or take a trip to see the Great Wall. Tour finishes.
