If you’re looking to get in three of the Indonesian islands on a trip that combines proven highlights with off-the-beaten-path gems, you’re in the right place.
Komodo is obviously well-known for its dragons (gigantic lizards, really, but who’s nit-picking?), but there’s so much more to the island – and neighbouring Flores – than just massive fauna. And when it comes to Bali – an island steeped in culture, excellent food and talented artists – there are near-limitless pristine beaches, temples and jungles to explore. With your accommodation and transport arranged by CEOs, this well-packed adventure offers up the perfect blend of the island’s highlights and free time.
Day 1 Sanur
Arrive at any time.
Days 2-3 Labuan Bajo/Komodo
Hop on a plane to Labuan Bajo, a small fishing village on the island of Flores. Wander the town and check out the beaches and watch for flying fox bats at dusk. On Day 3, enjoy a full-day boat trip to Rinca Island and Komodo Island nearby. Walk through the grasslands looking for Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.
Day 4 Ruteng
Drive to Ruteng and take in the stunning surrounding mountains. Check out the local markets in the area and eat some delicious local food. Opt to visit the nearby archaeological site Liang Bua, known for the discovery of the Flores Man, or hike around the rice paddies.
