Panama Island Volunteer Teaching Experience

Company : Frontier
Duration: 2 weeks to 3 months
Approx Costs: 250 to 500 £ Pound (UK)

The Panama Island Teaching Experience has been developed with the local community in Bocas del Torro and gives you the opportunity to improve your conversational Spanish while giving back to the children of this island community.

This project will give you the opportunity to assist local in-country staff in caring for and teaching some of Panama’s lovable and adorable school-children. This will also give you the chance to see Panama in a different perspective and share your knowledge and experience with the young students to enhance their conversational English which is incredibly valuable to the children that live in this popular tourist destination.

As a volunteer you may be required to assist local school teachers delivering and supporting English language classes. You may also have the chance to prepare classes, help with homework, organise games and other such school activities. Your work at the school may generally be in the morning from 8 am to 12 noon so you will definitely have plenty of free time to play with the kids afterwards!

Bringing along donated story books and other teaching materials is also a great way to engage your students as such items are always appreciated to give the kids a more interactive learning experience.
