FACE Nepal is a non-profit aid organization that has been established with the purpose of assisting people and communities in need. We unfortunately find ourselves in a market currently defined by a great deal of corruption and inefficiency, and therefore FACE Nepal differentiates itself in the market through a primary focus of integrity, transparency and professionalism.

Face Nepal offers many affordable volunteer programs including:

*Community Teaching Projects
*Environmental Conservation Projects
*Community Health Projects
*Orphanage Projects
*Research projects
*Cultural Exchange and Language
*Office support
*Or Design your own program

Although there exists many aid organizations in the present environment, FACE Nepal has endeavored to develop a unique organizational and governance structure to combat the current challenges of inefficiency and integrity at a cost far below most other “aid” organizations.

The following objectives outline the strategic direction of our organization and the key operating principles under which all activities will be guided.

*Provide exciting and culturally rich opportunities for volunteers to add value to the local communities of Nepal.
*Provide a transparent operating practice so that aid contributors can see the true nature of their contribution and witness the direct results of their efforts.
*Work collaboratively with existing aid organizations to maximize the effectiveness of our efforts.
*Uplift the community through the provision of educational opportunities, project investment and specialist support.
*Be accountable to the community and our contributors as the measure of our success.

Volunteers will stay with a host family where they will eat Nepali food with the family twice a day (around 9 o' clock in the morning and 7 o' clock in the evening). Tea is served in the morning and in the afternoon. In the house you will live as part of the family. By living with a Nepalese family, participants will have the unique opportunity to connect on a personal level with the people and culture. It provides an excellent opportunity to use new language skills and to learn more about the culture. Volunteers will have their own private bedroom and an internal power supply, but all other facilities will be shared. In most locations the power is fickle and often weather dependent. In the urban areas or care centers your standard of living will include Western bathroom facilities with access to toilets and showers and rural areas have squat toilets and hand pump washing facilities. Clothes washing will be by hand. Internet access will be available at home office and the nearest cyber cafe.
Volunteers may have the opportunity to get together with other volunteers and share their experiences. They are able to travel to nearby towns to purchase things for daily use and if desired could travel to other areas on longer vacations.

In short Face Nepal offers volunteers everything they need to feel personally fulfilled with the work that they do, in addition to helping the communities that need it. For less money you will receive more personal care and attention, and our unique programs ensure a valuable experience.
