We are currently looking for a camp teachers / counselors to assist in the direction, supervision, teaching English and organization of campers within activities and throughout the camp. The Summer Camp is an English-speaking summer day program focused on learning English through games, songs, creative activities such as arts & crafts, fun and didactic activities and it is developed for Russian children aged 7-17.
The overall aim of the camp is to give children the motivation and the confidence to speak the language.
Requirements
- English speaker
- Ideally, previous experience of teaching children/ young people in a similar or related environment ( not essential)
- Ability to work as part of a team, sharing resources, ideas and lending support to colleagues as required.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Strong desire to work with children in an outdoor setting
- Motivation to learn and practice new skills
- Responsible, enjoy working both independently, flexible and able to work in a team
- Fun, enthusiastic, high energy and self-sufficient
Responsibilities:
- Work in an overnight camp
- Lead 3 lessons a day ( 3 academic hours a day), other time - get involved in camp activities
- Join in, have fun with kids
- Work with children in a creative, supportive and engaging learning environment
- Ability to lead games and activities in a fun and engaging manner.
- Create and maintain positive relationships between students
- Supervise kids through a day
