Dance Instructors at Ballibay teach in a multi-faceted dance program. Our program includes:
traditional dance class offerings
choreography and direction of performance-oriented works for our two Music and Dance Reviews each summer
assistance to campers developing their own choreography for talent shows
regular stretching classes and guided warmups open to all campers
other classes in styles and techniques in which our instructors are skilled
Our dance program is open to campers of all ages, skill and experience levels. Like all of our camp programs, we emphasize individual growth and a non-competetive learning environment.
Most dance instructors are also cabin counselors (see benefits section).

Benefits: Staff members are employed for 7 weeks plus one week orientation. Staff members can draw on their earned salary at any time. Room and board are provided, and it is quite possible to live at camp all summer completely expense free.
All staff members attend a complete orientation before camp begins. Staff members receive 1 day off per week and every other night off. All camp facilities are available to staff members during their time off, except horseback riding. The food is excellent for omnivores and vegetarians alike. On-campus facilities specificallly for staff members include laundry, computers, e-mail, a phone, and a comfy lounge with a TV/VCR, refrigerator, pool table, and more.
Most teaching staff members are also cabin counselors. Cabin counselors live with at least one other staff member and 10-14 campers. Ballibay is an activity-oriented camp; staff members spend only 2.5 hours each day with their cabin groups and 5.5 hours a day in specialty areas working with motivated campers!
