Dogs for the Disabled

General Info

Dogs for the Disabled creates life-changing partnerships by training assistance dogs to help disabled people lead a fuller, more independent life.

Every assistance dog trained by the charity offers practical help to the people we support. Our work with physically disabled adults opens doors to independence, giving a new sense of confidence and freedom, often long forgotten. In 2004, the Children's Project was introduced, training dogs for physically disabled children and offering a friend and helper roled into one.

Careers with Dogs for the Disabled - We receive many enquiries about working with the charity. Vacancies do arise from time to time, both to work with our dogs or alternatively there are career opportunities within our fundraising and administration departments.

All vacancies are posted on our website and this is updated regularly. Unfortunately, due to the number of enquiries we receive, we are unable to keep any application letters or CVs on file for future records. Please note that we can only employ people of 18 years of age and over.
