Social and Humanitarian programs make a difference in the lives of Ecuadorian children, people with physical disabilities, families with low incomes and others.

Volunteers work hand in hand actively supporting the objectives of each program, achieving a better future for all those in need.

We work with three different organizations that focuses on Street Children in Cuenca. The placement of a participant in one of these organizations depends on availability, the time of the year and the length of the participants stay. Once the volunteer has arrived, the participant will be part of a comprehensive orientation that will cover important information about the project, the tourist areas around Cuenca, forms of transportation, safety tips and more. This is a perfect opportunity to volunteer in Ecuador by helping children.

Description:
We work with three different organizations that focuses on caring for Street Children in Cuenca. The placement of a participant in these organizations depends upon availability, the time of the year and the length of the participant’s stay. Once the volunteer has arrived, the participant will be part of a comprehensive orientation that will cover important information about the project, the tourist areas in Cuenca, means of transportation, safety tips and more. Volunteers on this program will be helping children in the poorest areas of Cuenca on the North and South sides of the city. This program focuses on OUTREACH and SCHOOL SUPPORT. The outreach initiative works with children who are forced to live and work on the streets of Cuenca.

Most of the children's parents work in the street markets in Cuenca, selling different types of products to generate some type of income for their family. Volunteers will provide attention, care and support through their outreach to these children. The school support initiative helps children who come from difficult backgrounds (alcoholic parents, parents who have migrated to other countries, emotionally abused, etc.) to raise their self-esteem and to provide them with a high quality education so that they can have a better future. Volunteers will be involved in classes, homework supervision, educational activities and more!
