Every year Concordia offers a series of preparation weekends in Brighton for all volunteers aged 19+ interested in joining an international volunteer project in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The day will explore issues such as health and safety, cultural awareness, relations between the North and South, living conditions and development. There will also be the opportunity to talk to people who have been to the countries involved in the past.

If you haven’t made your mind yet about the project, this weekend is also a good chance for all those who simply want to know more about the North South Programme.

It is possible to apply for the preparation weekend only, with the possibility to apply for a project afterwards.

Dates available for 2010 are the following:

• 20th February (one day preparation, for volunteers intending to apply for a project starting before June)
• More dates available in June and July

Participation fee is £10 for the day on the 20th February only and £40 for the weekends in June and July. Fee covers food and accommodation.
