Despite a beautiful rural location the historisc Roman origin City of Exeter and the coastline are a stones throw away.

We welcome those seeking a change from the hurly burly bustle of modern day life who relish the opportunity to commune with nature and animals whilst making new friends along the way!

Visiting our Farm is like taking a journey back in time and is home to beautiful Arabian horses.  Set in classical 18 century Parkland in the rolling hills of East Devon there is an element of magic in the landscape, old buildings and the animals which include a small herd of suckler cows and their calves who need our care and attention.  The old cobbled yard sets the scene complete with farm chickens roaming free and a beautiful cat!  Come and join our hard working, loyal and friendly team to care for the horses or practical farm or building skills - there is always something to renovate or mend!

Long stays much preferred - usually a minimum of 3 weeks but the longer the better.  Friendly, fun and communicative people looking for hardworking, honest helpers willuing to muck in, learn and care about animals and their welfare.  There is also lots of land management this year - sorting out fencing, firewood, brambles in hedgerows etc.

If you are an excellent rider you could also have the opportunity to help in the training of youg horses.

During the winter months there is the mucking out, feeding and daily turnout of the horses, roaming the Farm in a 4X4 monitoring the wellbeing of the cattle and ensuring they have sufficient silage to eat.  We aim over dinner evry night to decide for the following day how we divide and conquer or indeed does a certain task dictate we all put our shoulder to the wheel together in a totall united and unstoppable front?!

Accommodation is provided in a self contained wing of the Farmhouse known as 'The Cottage'.  Bedrooms are either shared or single and the comfortable lounge comes complete with a log burning stove.  Wifi is available 24/7 but signal strength can at times be typically rural UK erratic!

With regard to food all of which is provided, everyone helps themselves for breakfast and lunch from the wide variety available daily.  The generous evening meal cooked for you is a real family affair with everyone sitting together in the Farmhouse.  Feel free to offer your help in the fun preparation and serving!

We are looking for young and young at heart active people who want to live life and get outdoors.  Here at the Farm our aim is to provide a great experience in exchange for your help and friendship.

If you are hard working when needed but enjoy a laid back lifestyle with a great sense of fun then please do get in touch!
