For courses taught in English, Colegio Decroly Americano requires that all applicants possess strong English speaking skills with good composition and grammar skills. Preference will be given to candidates with grade level experience, developed emotional intelligence, and who will be positive role models to our community of learners.

Colegio Decroly Americano is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

CDA will be requesting a police background check with the local police authorities for each new employee. It is school policy to actively seek confidential references for all new employees including at least one from the previous three employers.

All new employees coming from outside Guatemala are required to provide a police background check from their point of origin.
