Volunteer

Volunteering is both challenging and rewarding. The activities involved in this may include playing with the children, stimulating them, teaching them to feed themselves, encouraging movement, helping their speech and, most importantly, just showing them love. You will also make an effort to contribute to the day-to-day running of the centre in washing up, cleaning and keeping the place tidy.

The work is emotionally draining, and therefore volunteers must show a level of emotional stability and maturity.

If you are professionally-trained, you can use your skills to help the work of Camillian Home. The primary aim of all volunteers is to support the staff in caring for the children, training such as physiotherapy, nursing and occupational therapy is an additional tool you can use.

Generally 40 hours per week is the minimum commitment. Working hours for child care volunteers are Monday to Friday, 05h30 to 17h00 with several breaks in between. Volunteers are expected to participate and help in all areas of care in order to provide for the needs of the children .

Business school Interns or volunteers with experience in fundraising/marketting work from 09h00-17h00 in the admin office.

Free meals and accomodation are provided on site. Though we do not have any volunteer "fee". A small contribution at the end of your stay would be greatly appreciated. This is simply to allow most of our limited income to be used in taking care of the children
