Work America offers you a fantastic way to spend your summer, and at the same time enhance your CV, make new friends, and visit exciting places.

You have the opportunity to spend up to 4 months living and working anywhere in the USA doing virtually any type of job, with an extra 30 days for travelling afterwards.

Choose from one of hundreds of jobs listed in BUNACs 2008 Job Directory, or perhaps gain experience in your field of study with a career-related internship. Follow in the footsteps of past BUNACers who have found work in places such as hotels, restaurants, country clubs, resort towns and tourist attractions, or perhaps you'd like to arrange your own career-related internship.

However you decide to spend your summer in America, it will be an experience that you'll remember for a lifetime. After working and with some of the worlds most amazing destinations right on your doorstep, you could find yourself on the ultimate road trip visiting all those places that you've only ever seen in films.

Many Work America participants travel through the long, sandy beaches of San Francisco via Hollywood, heading east through Death Valley and the Las Vegas strip before hitting the Nevada desert and the Grand Canyon. Other participants finish the trip off surrounded by skyscrapers in the bright lights of world-class cities such as New York, Chicago or Boston. Remember that on Work America, the choice is yours!

The programme fee is only £259. You have the option of arranging your own flights, or taking the BUNAC travel package for £499, which includes a flexible, peak season return flight to New York City with reputable airline (and up to 50 other BUNACers), transfer from the arrival airport and your first night's bed and breakfast accommodation at a central-Manhattan hostel.
