As a volunteer at the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, and Central Park, Queens, and Prospect Park Zoos, you'll be an important part of the WCS team. The docent programs at all our parks include fascinating training sessions that teach you about wildlife and conservation, and how to share what you've learned with the nearly 4 million people who visit our New York facilities each year.

Volunteering is a great way to turn your enthusiasm for nature into action that makes a difference. Right here, check out the volunteer programs at each of our parks below we're eager to welcome you to the WCS family.

As a docent, you'll not only become an expert on animal life, you'll also learn all about wildlife conservation efforts and the history of our parks. WCS offers a range of opportunities for volunteers, including leading guided tours, chatting with guests at exhibits, and maintaining our fish tanks from underwater!
