To become a volunteer, all you need is enthusiasm and a desire to help. You can choose how much time you give and we'll give you all the training and support you need.

We welcome people from all nationalities and backgrounds. Our volunteers include job-seekers, retired workers, asylum seekers, full-time workers, students and school children.

Who Can Volunteer with Barnardo's?

At Barnardo’s, we encourage anyone to apply to volunteer, no matter their background, skills, experience, or ability with a variety of roles to suit everyone. Once you’re enrolled as a Barnardo’s volunteer, we’ll provide full training and constant support – just tell us when you’re available. Whether you put in two hours a week or commit full-time, every volunteer is making a vital contribution to our work.
