This experience was truly unforgettable: I met some of the most lovely and interesting people (some of which I’m still friends with now, ate so much delicious food in restaurants off the tourist trail, and learnt more about art and the Renaissance than is healthy! Even though the things I learnt on this trip had nothing to do with my future career plan (I am studying medicine st University) I will never forget an opportunity to experience this amazing history among talented and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for knowledge, and a love of culture. Go on this trip! You only live once!!
Traveling the streets of Italy with young and hip experienced tutors while learning the history through the medium of art was a completely beneficial experience. Not only did I take away a vast understanding of historical art including some of the most famous works of the world, but AHA also lead to some of the greatest connections and friendships I still keep close to my heart. With such a small group of people, you become a family over the months. This was an experience I will never forget.
