For several years, we cooperate with various universities and host their students as groups or individuals at all levels, including Uppsala University, Stockholm University, Harvard University, Northeastern University, Bamberg University, in addition to US Air Force ROTC, etc. 

 

Programs:

  • Arabeya is flexible to follow the university own design of the program or to provide the university with a tailored program based on the students' needs and area of interest.
  • Arabeya offers semester-programs (Spring– Fall) and intensive Arabic programs (Winter- Summer).
  • Arabeya hosts university students at any time during the year, and can accommodate all levels and any amount of hours.
  • Also, we have the possibility to provide the students with social and cultural activities, and calligraphy workshops on the basis of the university request.
  • General Arabic Language Program:The general Arabic program contains three main components of Arabic language including Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA), Arabic syntax and Literature (Modern Standard Arabic), and Media Arabic. The university is the one who chooses the percentage of each component. Also, the university can choose to focus on one component only, or to add another component of Arabic language.
  • Arabic Language for special purposes Program: For other specializations and specific studies, Arabeya  hosts university students and offers them tailored programs for special purposes including Arabic for journalism, Arabic for diplomats, Arabic for business communication, Arabic for translation, Arabic for thesis helper(for MA/PHD students), Arabic for Islamic studies, etc.
  • Evaluations and assessments:Before the beginning of the program, Arabeya sends to the university the course catalog provided with course description, academic calendar, assessment criteria and grading system.
  • Arabeya is flexible to assess students based on the university's own criteria.
  • Arabeya's assessment is based on weekly quizzes, class participation, mid-term exam, final exam, and final project. 
  • The university receives regular reports about the students' performance and attendance.
  • At the end of the course, each student receives a certificate that states the name of the course, the duration, the total number of hours, and the student's overall grade. Also, the university receives a soft copy of these certificates.  

 

Assessment: 

1. Class participation, and course readings in advance 15 %

2. Quizzes (announced and unannounced) 15 %

3. Midterm exam 30 %

4. Final exam 30%

5. Final project 10%

 

Cost:

The program's cost depends on the amount of hours, the type of the program, and the other services that the university may request (i.e. accommodation, hotel reservation, calligraphy workshops, and social and cultural activities).
